How to Find Us

Our research group is located on the G floor of the HCI Hönggerberg campus in Zürich. Our laboratory space covers 600 m2 and includes 38 fully equipped fume hoods for organic synthesis, four gloveboxes, a walk-in fridge, as well as all the modern instrumentation to characterize both small (GC, GC-MS, LC-MS, UV, CD) and large molecules (GPC, DSC) and perform mechanistic studies (in situ IR spectroscopy).

The Morandi group is based in the Laboratory of Organic Chemistry (LOC) at the ETH Hönggerberg campus in Zürich, Switzerland. We can be found in the third "finger" of the Hönggerberg Chemical Institute (HCI) building, on floor G.

Zürich is very well connected to Europe and the world through its international airport (located just 8km from ETH Hönggerberg) and rail links. The city is also served by an excellent internal public transport system, making the Morandi group very easy to visit!

Public Transportation Directions

ETH Hönggerberg campus has its own bus stop (conveniently named "ETH Hönggerberg"), which is served by bus lines 69 and 80. From
Zürich main station (Zürich HB), tram 11 will take you from "Bahnhofquai/HB" to "Bucheggplatz," from which you can change to bus 69, which will take you directly to ETH Hönggerberg. The total journey time should be around twenty minutes.

Driving Directions

If arriving by car, follow signs for ETH Hönggerberg, and upon arrival follow signs for "Parking HCI". The official visitors garage can be found beyond "Anlieferung Chemie".

If arriving by taxi, be sure to tell the taxi driver that you want to go to ETH Hönggerberg specifically. Many people have been delivered to the wrong campus in the past!
